A female Panama age 41-50, *aelcohu writes:

Hey there!

My problem is that my boyfriend does not work and takes money from his parents that live in The USA to live here in Panama. He pays all the house expenses (rent 200$ a month)electricity ($50 a month)food (200$), except cable and internet ( I pay it myself). I pay all my school, my gas my everything. He has gotten a mail from his sister that he saved in his computer and says the following: I read it by chance when I was using his laptop.

Dear.....

I was shocked at the amounts you're taking from our parents when they need it badly themselves.

You brag about cheap rent so why do you accept so much more? It's affected my view of who you are.You are not in the possition to offer stability to (Dalya) or a family.

he gets 1,200 a month from his parents.

I am really shocked myself that they think I am the one spending the money he gets, what do you understand by this mail? If that is the case, I think I am going to be defend myself and maybe get out of this mess. Do you think with this kind of situation is worth it to continue in this relationship?

Please, I need some advice.

Goodluck.... You got a lazy arse b/f who lives off his parents. When the money stops then what?? Do you become the new income source? Hey no doubt that one may ask the parents for a little money here and there but as a monthly income that pays the bills that is just so wrong in every way. If your going to stay in the relationship try and motivate him to find part time work or something. No doubt you might want to be prepared to support your man and family in the future.
