When I was junior in high school, I had a "crush" on my U.S. History teacher. Then again, people thought that was the case because he was the "strange" teacher and I was apparently the "strange" girl who had only a few friends. But I thought this teacher was beyond hot and he was of course, intelligent and very humorous! And I would've done something about it if I was of-age (I was 17 at the time), if he wasn't married, and if I wasn't on the extremely shy side. I'm now 19 and barely ever think about him, haha.
Anyways, the fact that your teacher's all stuttery and what not could be an indication that he's a little weird about the fact that one of his quite attractive and young female students is giving him 'the eye'. Although it could be that he is physically attracted to you as well. I say talk to him a bit more. Ask him to coffee. Considering your own age, it isn't inappropriate but the student/teacher thing is. Be careful with that one. You could get him in trouble.
