I haven't had sex since about mid-January and I started on birth control about a week after my boyfriend left for university again. Yes, we used a condom (only a few seconds in the shower without one and I'm pretty sure he didn't have any pre-cum on the head of his penis). Anyway, tonight I'll be taking my fourth placebo pill (the pills for when you're supposed to be on your period) and I still haven't gotten my period, yet. I haven't felt sick at all since the last time my bf and I had sex but I have been feeling slightly fatigued. But I've pegged that as sleeping in way too much. I've also pegged my eating habits as the weight I'm supposed to gain while on the pill. I've gained about six pounds since I started. This morning, I felt some cramps and I really though it was my period but it turns out, I just ate too many fruit snacks last night. So right now, I'm being pretty calm about this because it's been easy to explain away certain symptoms. My biggest worry right now is why I haven't gotten my period, yet, and I would just like some opinions on that matter. Thanks!

You know I have had times where I too, took the placebo pill and didn't my period until a few days later. Mind you I also just had a baby and while pregnancy symptoms are different for all women, when I first fell pregnant I constantly felt like my period was coming, yet it never started! So I bought a pregnancy test and it confirmed I was indeed pregnant. I gave birth to a little boy on January 24th of this year ^_^. ( Sorry, I tell everyone I can, I'm proud lol) I would suggest purchasing a pregnancy test, I know I hated spending the ten bucks too, but it will confirm whether you are pregnant or not and ease your worry. Buy the ones that come in a two pack they are like 2 for eleven bucks, that way it stretches your dollar lol.

I say go get a pregnancy test just to be sure, there is no harm in that. It is strange that all these symptoms are present and that they would not be connected in some way. If they are not connected then I'm sorry for the bad luck but the test would be a good idea. Also even if it come up negative it still might be good to see your docter about these issues, there might be something that they can do.

I think it is time for you to take a pregnancy test. This usually can be done the first day you expect your period. I don't think it is good to continue taking birth control if you are pregnant. I am not sure if it is the same in the US as Canada but in Canada, doctors can not tell your parents anything about your medical records without your permission, if you are over the age of 12. So if you go to the doctor you will be fine.
