Yes there can be side effects to the pill, but most of them are quite rare.
The only possible effects you might get are a bloating of the stomach and some mood changes.
More un common ones are headaches, nausea and tender breasts.
But...Ive heard if your a smoker, overweight or have ahigh blood pressure, it can maybe cause strokes and heart attacks, but again...extremely rare.

60% of women have no side effects at all. However side effects include headaches, nausea, mood swings and tender breasts. There is also a higher chance of deep vein thrombosis, though this is extremly rare and more common in older women.
All packets of pills come with a leaflet explaining side effects.

There can be many side effects. They can include nausea, headaches, mood changes, increased appetite. You're not guaranteed to experience any of these.
Was there an information leaflet that came with the pills? That will give details of any side effects that may come with it.
