I have used a full tube of gel for it and am well into a liquid stuff I put in, swish around and swallow BUT it isn't getting any better, it is getting worse.I have reduced my sugar intake, avoided bread and the last few days avoided dairy as well. How do I get rid of this. Despite taking the gel/liquid it is just getting worse.I have had a yeast infection on my penis before and the cream for that didn't work either until I mixed white vinegar in with it. Is there some kind of trick or home remedy like that that might help here? Thanks so much.

I've also heard that warm water with a few drops in it used as a mouth wash is good for yeast infections. (Don't swallow it or use it neat in your mouth. Don't use it with a prescribed medicine unless a pharmacist says it's okay)
Have you been tested for diabetes? Persistant yeast infections are very common in diabetics.

Go back to your doctor or pharmacist (doctor preferably) and explain that the medication you took has not worked. If it oral thrush, there are plenty alternatives that can be used - yeast infections can sometimes become resistant to certain medicines. Did you take the first medication correctly - read the leaflet that came with the medication again to check.
It's also worth considering that it might not be a yeast infection. There are plenty of other illness that cause white plaques or sore areas in the mouth - yeast infections are just the most common.
It sounds that you are doing the right thing by reducing sugar in your diet. You could also try eating a probiotic diet with foods that contain live cultures "lactobacillus". They are usually in yoghurts and yoghurt drinks but read the label carefully to make sure it has live culture in it.
You may also need to take an oral medication if it's a yeast infection. I'm not sure which ones are available down under so I can't advise you. Your doctor or pharmacist can though
Feel better soon!

If it's an ongoing thing and it's resistant to the cream, then it could not be what you think.
Go to the doctor and get it checked out.
Just make sure it's not something worse.
Good Luck!! xx
