A reader, anonymous, writes (30 January 2011):

Maybe your friends are jealous? Getting a bf from another school is a big acomplishment. But try not to ditch your friends for him. Because if you break up and you ditched them, they will not comfort you or hang out with you.

Hmm, the mods put this in the wrong category. It's a question, not an article.

Anyway, it's impossible for me to make a good conclusion based on these 4 lines you wrote up. I'm not psychic. I can only guess.

What happens often when people are smitten with eachother is that suddenly their whole world consists of one thing: their love for eachother. I've seen many friends disappear because of that and return only when the relationship was over. Maybe this is what your friends are getting at. They might feel neglected because you spend much more time with your bf. And if they don't like him, well..they're obviously not going to motivate you to keep the relationship going.

Other than that I wouldn't know. You really need to elaborate on the situation if you want better advice. All I can do is to take a stab in the dark, which I just did.
