Are my friends just saying he likes me to make me feel better?

alright, :) so ive liked this one guy since i was about 10 and like last year one of my friends, against my will, asked him if he liked me, he just said nopee. so after that i hadnt talked to him in forever, and i just saw him the other day , and i still reaaly want him to like me. but i have no idea howw!! i mean i have his MSN but thats it. he doesnt go to my school, he doesnt have a cell phone... so i reaally want to talk to him (on MSN i gueess) but i have no idea what to say! like he doesnt ever talk to me when im on, so i thought if i talked to him he would think something was up ?!?! i dont know... but im also afraid that if i just simply say heeey he wont reply :( ... i have zero confidence in myself and i dont think i can get him, it would be a miracle to me if i did! but anyway.. i really dont know what to do, or really what im asking, but some advice would be nice, because all my friends just say ohh of course he'll say hii back, dont worry your gorgeous ... im sure he likes you.... but i know thats not true ...HEEEEEEEELPP !! ;) thanks for youur time!!

He has said to you he doesn't like you. Maybe he's shy. but if he couldn't open up to you at that moment, and he doesn't have a phone and doesn't go to the same school, then you'd be better letting him go.

The Realist agony auntIf he doesn't like you its not the end of the world, there will be many more boys that come into your life. As for talking to him I say go for and see what he does. The worst thing he can do is not reply and if that is the case then you should let him go because he's not into you.

Try not to waste too much time on this one boy.
