 Trust me, braces are not that bad! One of my college professors had them on his bottom teeth and he was...um... adorable (he was 30 something years old). I don't think anyone else noticed but me. Beats the hell outta crooked teeth. I kinda miss my braces. Maybe you can get rubber bands in your favourite colour. (I wanted black but they always gave me pink).
The only thing that might be a problem: You have to be really careful about brushing your teeth with braces because the wires can get in the way. If you don't clean them properly they can smell nasty. If you brush thoroughly, then it will be NO PROBLEM!! :)

reader, anonymous, writes (30 January 2010): nothing to do with braces i have met a guy off the net he had braces never even crossed my mind about them i am still with this man and he had recently had them taken off and he feels great and also loves me more cause i saw through the braces when i firstly met him...so dont be thinking its your braces cause its not and if there are guys out there that wont date girls cause they have braces then they are not worth dating your man will come along the right one.....

 Anyone who doesn't date someone just because they have braces is pretty shallow and probably not worth your time anyways! Assuming your age range is listed correctly (13-15) I remember when I was at that age and I knew people with braces who had gfs/bfs.
