Yeah, counting back 40 weeks gives you January 7th, within a fornight either side of that would be the estimated day of conception. But due dates are only an estimate, it doesn't mean the baby will be born on that date. They're usually figured out from the approximate size of the baby when she has a scan.
If this was not the answer you're looking for then I'm really sorry you're in this situation. Obviously you cannot be really accurate so if there was another potential father during that time, the only way to really find out would be a paternity test when the baby is born
Good luck and I hope you get the result you're looking for - whatever that may be.

Sweetie~
You are gonna have to get a paternity test. You can make all the guessing you want but that is the only true way to know. If you can't afford it, there's people to help you out with that. I'm not sure on how to go about that but the government can help. Goodluck to ya!

well the badnews no. Its all educated guesswork - this is why babies are early and late. Its all based on maths and sometimes its wrong. (an I know nothing of these so shutting up)
see
http://www.pregnancywizard.com/trimesters-stages/pregnancyduedate-accuracy.php
or
http://transitiontoparenthood.com/ttp/parented/pregnancy/duedate.htm
or google "due date accuracy"
- the only way really will be a blood test afterwards.
You need to decide if you want her back? regardless of the parenthood or if you want to be a father. (Ok a little late for this if you are, i will rephrase....) ready to be a father. (better) - its a huge step. Do you have the balls for it?
