I used to never have any, but now I do.Is electrolosis a good idea, or some kind of cream? They aren't that noticeable, but do men find this a turn off? Reply to this Question Share |

Electrolosis is permanent, you have to run a course of it though. It is quite expensive, but if you pay each time you go ~ you wont notice it so much.
I have very dark hair, suffered all my teenage life with it, feeling very self conscious and trying to hide it. I went on a course, every two weeks for about 9 months, as hairs grow at different stages and there are stubborn ones that will keep coming back.
I was paying each time £11.50 for a 15 minute session. They have completely gone now, not a hair in sight, vanished without a trace.
When I worked it out, how much it had cost me in the end - I gave birth to half a dozen kittens! If I was told at the beginning how much it was going to come to, I may not have considered it. In total, it was about £300. But spread over a period of time, the cost wasn't so noticeable. I'm not just talking about my top lip, I had some randomly scattered about my neck and a few below my ears on my neck.
If you don't want to choose that method of hair remover, use Veet or Nair, or even waxing. Another alternative is Jolen cream bleach for lightening facial hair, that works very well too.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

Firstly, most men probably won't notice. If it bothers YOU, then go ahead and take care of them. Electrolosis can be expensive, it is however a permanant way to remove them and keep them from coming back. I have always either plucked(with tweezers, like you would for your eyebrows) or waxed. There are facial waxing kits/pre-waxed strips found at most drug stores that are very handy. Yes it can be a painful experience, but if you follow the directions, it's only something you'll have to do every 6 weeks or so! Also I have been waxing my face for over a year now and have noticed less re-growth and the hairs that DO grow back are finer, lighter and less noticable. Horray!Besides that I would NOT suggest shaving anything on your face as it leaves stubble! There are creams that will bleach the hairs so they are less noticable, but that will not remove the hair. My suggestion is if you can't afford to go to a local salon and have it done, take a friend with you to the drug store and spend a lil time looking over your options. Most times you will find the kits in the same Isle you would find the Nair for your legs. I use Veet brand Easy-To-Use Wax Strips. They are available for the legs and face and are pre-waxed and easy as pie to use. It may be a little awkward the first time you try them, but it's pretty simple, the directions are great and they come with everything you need! I can usually find a box for under ten dollars and it will last me 3-6 months depending on how much hair I am removing and how often I use them.Best of luck in your persuit of a smooth face!Citris
