Gotta love that film...
Old Guy and the others all had great replies.
I liked the last answer, a lot! There really isn't a pat answer that suits everyone, so coming here and getting a lot of different ideas can help sort things out. Like everyone has said, CAPITALS are like shouting and typically not well received. And I'm sure that You can pretty much figure out what is rude and what isn't by the fact that you seem to have a good sense of humor and great taste in films...
I try to answer responsibly to underage people, as a parental figure, rather than as just a friend... Just because I am a parent and I would hate for a total stranger to steer my children in the wrong direction. In other words, I try to talk about abstaining, responsible relationships, age-appropriate behavior and being responsible for you own health (and contraception, if they are old enough). I try to explain regrets from entering into adult like behavior when they are too young. But, then again, I do realize that most people only hear what they want to, no matter what age they are...
The only time that I have found people are touchy is about Porn. That seems to be a real red flag topic and often columns will get some pretty inflammatory remarks in them.
The moderators on the site will pull harmful or hurtful answers and questions are ALWAYS screened. You can always click on the
Vote to remove unhelpful or hurtful answer
bar underneath every answer if you find it offensive, and on occasion, I have asked for an answer that I have written to be removed by Andrew (DearCupid) in the case where I have had serious writers regret. If you ARE responsible and respectful with your answers, after a while your answers will be put up without the moderators having to okay and prescreen them.
So come on in, the water's fine! Happy writing!

I have to admit, I was pretty shocked when I first got on here, but I realize people do need help with all kinds of problems...I have the choice which ones I answer and which ones I don't!
But there is always someone who will answer your questions. We are not here to judge...we are here to advise! We are not professionals. We use our own experiences in life to help others. We try to always be compassionate.
It can be a comforting place to hang out!

There are moderators who review the questions and answers before they're posted -- if you cross a line, chances are they'll let you know and your question or answer won't be posted.

don't type in all capitals. that's pretty much it. but if you post a hurtful answer it can be removed by a moderator.
it would be nice if you actually tried to answer questions too, && not just discriminate or judge someone. some askers will find that offensive. hope this helped =]
