A male United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hi there i have a dry patch of skin on the shaft of my penis toward the base. it started out as a an angry spot that subsided, and dry skin replaced it. its about the size of the top half of my thumb from the knuckle. its rarely itchy, but when i scratch or rub the the skin off, it just looks reddened, sore and shiny. any ideas what this could be? I'm not in any pain or discomfort, but i have had it for approx 3 months now and no lotions or moisturizers are helping.

You've probably got eczema.

But this is a relationships advice site not internet health.

I think Lotriderm cream takes care of it. (Not sure about this). I am NOT a doctor.

Dude, this is Dear Cupid, not Dear Doctor please diagnose my symptoms now.

If you are concerned about this, pick up the tele and make an appointment with a doctor who can check you out and give you an ACCURATE diagnosis. I don't think it is going to fall off or anything, but I think you need to have it looked at, don't you? :)

I would just head to a doctor for a quick vd test..

If lotions arent healing it as if it were dry skin that sounds concerning.

Good luck
