i've been in the same situation as you for the past week, but i've actually coped waay better than i thought i would. i've managed to spend more time with the family, see a couple of mates, find time for some hobbies, and relax for once in my life.
the one thing i managed to figure out whilst i went away myself, wasthat theres no point in missing him too much, 'cause at the end of the day, you are going to see him again, so make the most of it, get everything you need done, so that when he does come home, you can focuss all your' attention on him.
anyways, hope that helped abit :/
or at least gave you some ideas.

If you both have access to a computer with a decent internet connection, Skype or one of the other free internet video telephone services can help you stay in touch. The five-hour time difference is not all that bad from the east coast (if that's where he's going) to London. Just seeing him face to face every few days will be a big help.
Besides that, hobbies are probably the best distraction. Do what you love to do. This is especially true if you have something that you do in a group, and particularly if it's something that keeps you physically active. There is something about physical activity that helps keep our minds focussed on the activity itself instead of on our troubles.
And although two weeks seems like a very long time, it really isn't. It will go relatively quickly. And then the two of you will be back together again.

Tidy your room - like a real spring clean, pull everything out and move all the furniture.
Go out with your girl friends and have a fabulous time.
Catch up on your homework / hobbies.
Take the dog for a walk. Get some books out the library and read war and peace.
Good Luck!! xx
