Okay, he probably likes you. But don't forget, us guys are sensitive creatures, so if you want to find out, try and do it gently.
He might not like you, it might have been a slip of the tongue, and when he realised what he'd said he got a bit embarrased because that's not how he meant it.
If you like him, go do some research! You never know!
