I don't think you are the only one at all. I left school ten years ago and still don't feel like a 'grown up' and I'm married with two kids!! I still see a lot of my friends from school and none of them feel mature yet either. I don't think you ever feel that you are as old as you are meant to be. It sounds like you are a bit worried about leaving the security of school - which is perfectly normal.Try to enjoy your time left at school and make the most of. Make plans as to what you will do after, stay at sixth form, go to college etc and you'll feel a bit more in control. And don't worry no one expects you to leave school and suddenly because a mature adult - my little brother is now at uni and seems to be getting less mature every day!!Take carex

I think this is just a stage you are going through, the age you are is so so young. I think it is the thought of leaving school and entering the big wide world. This is perfecly normal, but as it happens things will all just fall into place around you. Enjoy the different stages of life, leaving school, going to college, getting a job, getting a decent wage, having the money to buy a flash sports car and impress you mates. You are by no means old, far from it, im 29 and i would like to consider myself as still being young.
All the best x
