writes:hi there, i dont men to be crude or nasty but i have some questions the average human growth and development book wont answer. i been around various women while we change in the locker and i see them naked. i notice that 99% have a vagina that hides there clitoris. i of course am different and thats where my insecurites come from.my lips are average enough but my clit is visible if i stand naked in front of a mirror. is this normal? do guys find this nasty? im a virgin and id hate to have sex one day and have the guy think i have issues. helpppppp :/

Just relax, being young has lots of insecurities but when you stand naked in front of the mirror and all you worry about is how you vagina looks then you are doing ok! Just make sure any boy you let near it really loves ypu and you feel really comfortable with him and you will have loads of fun. And if it really is your clitoris that is prominent, and many are, you don't know how lucky you are because one day you will probably be teaching a boy what he has to do with it!
Also remember that if you have been playing with yourself it gets excited and swollen with blood and looks quite different.

FWIW and it's TMI mine is not hidden either...
just like men's penises look different when erect (although most look pretty much the same flaccid) women's parts don't look the same either... that's why we are different..

I'm sure you'll find that it's more prominent when there's an increase of blood flow in that region, which is totally normal. You may even find at times that your labia DOES cover the clitoris - sizes differ from person to person but they can also change for the person dependent on level of arousal.

 All vaginas are different, they come in all shapes and sizes so you really have nothing to worry about. If a guy manages to get you naked and get close to your vagina he really is not going to care what it looks like, he will be far too excited and thinking about other things!
I'm sure you havent had a close up look at any other vaginas - even if you think you see them in the locker room I very much doubt you have your head right in between a woman's legs having a good look! What you can see from a distance isnt a true reflection of what these other girls' vagina's look like, if you were up close you would see they are all different.
Dont worry - no guy is going to think this is nasty and you are perfectly normal.
