Hello sweetie, I'm sure you are fine. Light bleeding is normal in the first few months of pregnancy as your uteus is stretching and preparing itself for a full term pregnancy. Also you may still be expeciencing periods which is not totally uncommon during pregnancy. Go see you doctor who will be able to advise you further. Good luck

lovejunkie agony auntGo see your physician. Some spotting is normal during pregnancy, especially at the beginning because your uterus is stretching and there is some breakage of small blood vessels during the process. But if the amount of blood is heavier, it could mean that you are having a spontaneous abortion (miscarriage) which could be due to a number of things. Only your physician will be able to tell you for sure. Don't wait.

There are many different reasons that a woman may have vaginal bleeding during pregnancy. Some women can continue to have light periods or spotting during pregnancy, especially during the first few months. A visit to your doctor may also be in order, either for early pregnancy care or to find out the reasons for your symptoms.

Light spotting is normal in pregnancy. if it were heavy then you'd have to worry. I'd call my doctor & tell them & see what they say. A couple cigarettes is not enough to cause a miscarriage. But of course you should stay away from them regardless. Good luck.

flower girl agony auntBabe it is very hard for any of us to tell you what is happening, ok having the cigarettes is not good and you know that and there are a hell of alot of women that do do that but don't beat yourself up about it.

If you are that concerned you go to your doctors tommorrow and get them to check you out.

Take care.xx.

dapone 1 agony auntDear anon

some time i believe that pregnant woman can loose a few spot of blood, but i think for yours and the baby's sake, you need to see a Doctor or practice nurse as soon as possible, not only to check that all is well but to give you peace of mind, the sooner you make the appointment the better you will feel.

I wish you luck with your baby and hope all is well.

hello,

i work in ultrasound and this is VERY common. first trimester spotting is very typical. everything is most likely o.k., but there is a smal chance something is wrong. you should call you ob/gyn just to let them know what is going on. they may just see how it goes for the next few days or they may do some blood work and an ultrasound. although, if you are only a few weeks pregnant than ultrasound most likely will not show any problem at that early stage. i have to tell you though, that the most important thing you can do for your baby and to have a healthy pregnancy is to NOT STRESS OUT over things. the human body naturally does not want to carry and maintain a pregnancy when under stress. so just give your doctor a call and see what they recommend and then just relax, stressing out over it will not help. i can also tell you that typically when a pregnancy is lost in the first trimester it usually means that there was something not right with the pregnancy, nature has a way of knowing what is best and takes care of things itself. good luck.
