Girls were like, "talk to the hand loser!"I think I was a bit drunk so my suave was probably not on top form, and also there was a bad ratio of decent women out. Still I usually come away with something, all I got last night was rejection. Am I losing my skills or were there enviromental factors affecting the situation which were beyond my control?

Well I hate to say it but if you go round asking for it you'll get noticed for all the wrong reasons. If you go up to anyone and get rejected then another and another it won't take long before you get a reputation.
Then you'll be lucky to end up with anyone at all.
To be honest I think the only environmental factor that was out of control was probably you.
Be yourself and go out and just have a good time. Someone will like you for who you are and you'll know the signs when someone's interested.
Sounds like your ego is a bit bruised (rightly so I think). If I were you I'd calm down and hang out somewhere else for a while.
Unfortunately reputations can follow you around and if you asked dozens of girls, don't be surprised if they point you out to their mates when they next see you out and warn them.
You made a mistake... LEARN FROM IT :)

Maybe they were blinded by your humility. Yikes. Get down off the pedestal that you have put yourself on. Girls know when guys are being false. Being sloppy drunk is not pretty, either. All girls want to be with a nice, genuine guy who is down-to-earth and doesn't put girls into categories of decent/not decent. It's not a big contest to see how popular you are and believe it or not, it's not all about you. Start again and drop the skills. Try honesty and a bit of modesty, I'm sure you'll be back on your "game" - Player, Please...
