Some of the people with the best relationships I know didn't have any relationships at all in high school. My brother is one; he didn't date in high school, and dated only one person in uni before he met his future wife, and he hasn't looked back. It certainly doesn't mean you're not normal, it just means you are waiting for the right person to come along. And because you don't have a train of exes to complicate things, you'll probably know her when she does.

Maybe you would feel happier if you had already had half a dozen relationships and a string of one night stands... that would be something to be proud of, eh? ;)

 I only had one girlfriend in High School too, in all fairness I was questioning my sexuality from around age 16+ but that's neither here nor there, normality is a ridiculous word anyway!
Who is to say what normal is? It's just what society wants you to think you should be doing, and to be perfectly honest, it's a load of bollocks!
As long as you're happy, don't let anything else like stupid 'facts' (if they are even correct) question what you should and shouldn't be doing =]

reader, anonymous, writes (26 November 2006): Back in the mid 90's, based on general consensus, there were less than 2% of the 1300 students that dated at the high school I attended. At Ditchmond High, the % was about the same, but they also had more students in that school. So 'NORMALLY', I guess if you hang around with that 2%, then yeah, you are pretty abnormal. Otherwise, hell no. [wink]

Of course you aren't! People are just moving faster than you, thats all. Don't let anyone put you under pressure about something you don't want to do. But at least you can keep strong relationships instead of a one night stand, right?
