A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

To start with i'm 16. The thing is I have a student teacher in my math class and i'm guessing hes about 25 at the most. Anyway i broke up with my boyfriend at christmas and my teacher looks the spits of him, like he has the same hair and facial features they also have a similar personality. So obviously i feel abit weird around him and have developed feeling towards him, nothing like huge but there is something about him.

I have a math exam soon and have been havin extra lessons with him and a few others from my class after school, nothin happens in these extra lessons btw [by the way] so i don't want you getting the wrong idea.

But the other day i think it was friday, he came and sat next to me tryin to teach me how 2 do this question n i couldn't help myself from just staring into his eyes.

I know the amount of people that write things about being in love with their teacher and all that, and i know that nothing will happen but i do think that we connect, lol. i hope that didn't sound cheesy.

He just stares n smiles at me alot. he also uses my stationary without askin looks back n gives me a wink lol.

but i was wondering if its right that i'm having feelings for my teacher and is it because hes like my ex?

reply please, thanks

i had my last maths revision session with him 2day so hopefully my feeling for him will die down!

he leaves in 6 weeks anyway so the probability of anything happening between us is rare.

still feel confused tho

OMG! I am in the same situation and I hate it! it's my teacher who is young, and I just always try to talk to him and see him in school. I think it all startd because he looks like a siger I love! Everything about him is simmilar! He is always in my head and I am tired, but my feelings kinda get stronger! (sounds very aweful). I don't know what to do either! Just get to know him!

Tevote agony auntNo one can really tell you who you have the feelings for only suggest...It sounds like you may be attracted to your teacher because of the similarities...Then again i'm sure your teacher has some different qualities to your ex-or in time you will see that he does anyway.

But just go with your gut...There's really nothing against having feelings for him even if he does look like your ex a bit.

Possibly.

Just don't be stupid about this and throw yourself at anyone, ex or teacher.

Best you can do is strap down your desires and concentrate on something else.
