Okay this is not going to sound particularly nice, but I'm kinda worried..

Well i was fooling around with a guy the other night and he was fingering me but doing it really hard, I did tell him after a while but it was sore at the time

Then the next day i found blood down there, but it had only been a week since my last period, and now it wont stop and its really heavily bleeding, do you think this could be because of the incident? or could I just happen to have a really irregular heavy period?

What should I do?

The best thing to do is to go to your doctor, and tell him what had happend!.. Don't be ashamed.. these are normal situations. Maybe there was a little damage in the embro,.. or else it might be irregualar period as well. As i've already said,.. the best thing is to speek to your doctor.

Hey, i was fooling around with a guy the other... and he fingered me... after it was bleeding...but it was a light bleeding, but still it was there. (I am/was a virgin) does that mean that my hymen is now broken ?

This is verified as being by the original poster of the question

heyy thanks for all the advice guys =]

i'm not a virgin so doubt it was the hymen, the bleeding has stopped now but was overly heavy so yeah his finger may have just caught something, or a very irregular period, think everything's ok now though!

yeah don't worry i can trust the guy and i was able to tell him after a while that it was too hard

thanks everyone, much appreciated!

A female reader, birdynumnums Canada +, writes (7 March 2007):

birdynumnums agony auntHi Honey,

Don't be worried about asking a Doctor for help if you are ever concerned about your period being too heavy. It may just be another period and the activity could have stimulated some flow before it started. If the experience was really painful and you are still worried about the flow, you should check with a Doctor. If the blood is BRIGHT red and you are soaking a pad or tampon every half hour, tell your Mom or Dad and get them to take you to your Doctor. That's a bit too heavy and a bit of a concern. Never let anyone do things to you that are painful or make you feel uneasy. Young and inexperienced guys sometimes don't realize what they are doing and how you are feeling, so you did the right thing by speaking up. If you are uncomfortable telling this guy he is hurting you - Are you in the right place with this guy or is he asking for you to move a little too fast? Don't let guys talk you into things you are not happy with. It will be a long time before they understand how to please you and sex should be wonderful, not frightening. Take care and I hope this helped you be less worried.

A male reader, Dr. John United States +, writes (7 March 2007):

Dr. John agony auntPain or discomfort is usually due to some kind of injury. If he got too rough it is possible that he could have ruptured vessels in the vaginal wall. Also you don't say whether or not you are a virgin. If you are and this is the first time you have done anything like this, he has probably ruptured your hyman (In slang terms known as popping your cherry) which in most cases will cause a bloody discharge. If the bleeding is unusually heavy or is acompanied by abdominal cramps this may be cause for concern and a doctor should be seen. However, if the bleeding is not severe and seems to be going away after a couple more days it may be as I said before that he just may have gotten too rough. There also could be tearing of the vaginal wall which in itself is serious enough. In any case, if you don't see it start to go away in a couple more days see your doctor. And during the healing try not to over exert yourself ie. no athletics no lifting over 10 pounds etc. You don't want to stress muscles which will pull at the wounds and keep them from healing. Hope this helps. Doc.
