Am I being conned online?

-This was in a cam chat-

So I met a guy online and he seems to be into me and I'm into him. Usually when I meet guys on cam all they want to see is my body which is pretty normal I think. But this guy first asked to see my eyes (since I usually hide my face at first.) I was really surprised and really flattered so eventually he saw my face and blahblah complimented me on my beauty. Well, fast forward I have no idea what he looks like because his cam is broken but I have faith that he's what he says he is, which is a 16 year old surfer guy. Anyways, my sister found out I was camming him and she started flipping out and calling him a secret rapist. Which I doubt he is. I just want to know if I should continue this or give up. I like him but I have no idea who he really is. This whole thing is sort of unorganized but I'm trying to get everything out... I don't really know what to do...

you have to be really careful when speaking with people online, some are genuine and maybe his cam did honestly break however, some people are going to lie and pretend to be someone they're not. try and find out if he has profiles on other sites which include pictures, that way you can see what he looks like, and also, try asking him to get a new cam, if he likes you and wants to see you, then he should understand that you are going to want to see him and actaully know who you are talking to

Honeypie agony auntYou stated and I quote:"

NO, actually hell no! that is NOT normal.

You are doing something that you really shouldn't, and I think you have NO clue as to how many ways those pictures can be misused.

If you want to meet and date guys - go local, because you just have NO idea of the amount of CREEPS in the internet. You might "think" it's safer but it is NOT.

Back away from the computer, missy.. till you grow some common sense.

CindyCares agony auntI agree with the other Aunts, what you are doing is neither normal not appropriate, it is also dangerous and naive. A 16 y.o. surfer, and, what a coincidence !, his cam is broken, uh ? I bet the guy is not 16 but 46 and the only thing he ever surfed, is the Net, trolling for gullible, pliable underage girls like you.
