Usually the teacher has to correct me and everyone will be laughing at me which will make me feel dumb. As for talking, sometimes when I'm talking someone they trouble understanding me or might not be listening (this happens a lot to me and I'm getting use to it). No one really talks to me (besides teachers). Also I'm in special needs and it make look me really stupid. I am a loser? Reply to this Question Share |

I am sure you recognize a few names.Albert Einstein was the genius scientist. With out Edison we would all still be with
Candles.
With out Graham Bell we would have still been writing letters.
I love Yeats and Dickens.
They all had learning disabilities.I can take a bet that they were all teased mercilessly in school. Most of them would have had a very few friends/none at all.
I am not sure what your learning disability is.Look at these great men.Wow!right? They couldn't even read or write properly at school.
Please don't feel that you are a loser. It takes time to overcome your weaknesses. It takes hard work and perseverance. You can definitely get there.Till then ignore the other students who are making fun of you.Develop a tough skin.Work slowly and steadily. You will definitely get there.
I am glad that you posted this on the forum. That shows you are a courageous person.I believe in you.I am sure you can get there.Don't ever give up.These famous guys never gave up.
Next time anyone calls you a loser, remember someone would have called Albert Einstein a loser too.Look at the funny side of it.Chuckle silently to yourself.Ignore and get back to your hard work.
I am going to have you in my prayers.Hugs,Bugs

You are NOT a loser! Losers are people who give up too easily or like slacking. We all have some kind of problem, no one is perfect. Part of your problem might be related to being aware of your problem and being nervous because of it, making matters worst. I am certain you have tried speech therapy if not give it a try, practice reading and talking LOTS AND LOTS at home and either you or one of your parents should talk to the teacher and ask that he/shge reconsiders how you are corrected in front of the class so your classmates can leave you alone. You are at a very difficult age when your friends are very immature and act without thinking about the consequences of their actions. They don't want to hurt you they are just young and immature and don't know any better( they are ignorant)Things will get better as you get older you will see. Keep your chin up and remember that you are NOT a loser! You are facing your adversity early in life, all of us have to deal with something at one point or another. This is actually going to make you a good person, you will grow to be compassionate and understanding. People who go through life without any problems at all are not only few but they are poor as they are not capable of being open-minded and compassionate
Good luck hun!
