yes you can transfer the virus through oral sex wether your on the giving or receiving end. the virus is spread through bodily fluids such as sperm or blood but not syliva, however if she had a cut in her mouth it could still be transfered.

Why even risk it? You Can give & receive a BJ with a condom on.. yeah it may not be the same, but at least you are safe.

It would be near impossible to get AIDS if you received a blowjob unless he happened to be bleeding in his mouth and you had cuts on your penis. But if you gave a bj and he came in your mouth, then there's a chance. If you had a cut in your mouth when he came you could contract the virus and if you swallowed you could also get it. Oral sex is sex, and with someone you don't know is clean you should always wear a condom, no matter what hole it's going in.

From getting or giving?
Getting a BJ, your chances are reduced compared to giving one. You always run the risk of getting HIV from an infected person when you have sexual contact with them though.
HIV/AIDS is transferred through the mixing of bodily fluids, mostly blood. If an infected person has a sore in their mouth that could spread the infection to the person receiving a BJ. Likewise, if their semen contains any blood it could infect the person performing the BJ. Stomach acid has been shown to kill the AIDS virus, but who knows what it might get into on the way to the stomach.
Really, your best bet when having contact with a person who has AIDS is to always use a condom and make sure they don't have any open sores. You still run the risk of getting infected, but it will be greatly reduced from just going bareback.
