I also came off the 'pill' because of its side effects on my body, and had the hormone-less iud fitted and my body is healthier than ever ! :)

Hormonal birth control pills work to decrease the amount of free testosterone in your body in two ways. This can lead to decreased sex drive and decreased ability to lubricate naturally during sex, which would cause dry and stinging intercourse, as you've described. I was on Yaz for a year and switched to the non-hormonal copper IUD for exactly this reason. After a couple of months of going off the pill last November and getting the IUD I had an easier time lubricating and my sex drive is now starting to return. Get off the pill ASAP because the longer you're on, the more likely these side-effects will be permanent!

I always use lube anyway, and that didn't even help.
I'll give it a month and see how it is after then.
Thanks again x

I'd say pop to your doctors and let him/her know this side affect, due to the change of hormones in your body you may have developed 'thrush' which is a basic, very common yeast infection that can be caused by a number of things including contraceptive pills because they affect your hormones ! X I experienced this myself and it is very easy to treat ! X
Hope I've helped !

Since it's hormone therapy, your moisture balance has changed some. Until your body truly gets used to the medicine, you might want some extra lube to supplement until your own body kicks back in producing what you need.
If it's still stingy after the lube, and it doesn't let up within a few weeks, see a doctor and report the side effect. If something new pops up that's alarming, discontinue the pill and see the doctor immediately.
