My periods are pretty much like clockwork and i am monitoring my mucus. Does having the correct mucus at the right stages if the month mean i do ovulate? (i.e clear stringy mucus on 'fertile' days?) i also get what you call ovulatiin pain aswell. Are there any tests the docs can do to see if actually ovulating? I am not finding any helpful info. Thanks

Sure, doctors have all sorts of diagnostic tools to find out easily if you are ovulating or not. ( Probably you are, SOME women who do not have ovulations menstruate anyway, but it is rare, most women who do not have ovulation do not menstruate at all or only seldom ).
Or, before seeing a doctor, you can track your ovulation b yourself ,buying an ovulation test kit in a pharmacy or on line.
But, have you thought that HE could be the infertile one ? You could have normal ovulations,- but he could have sperm with low count or low motility , and that would make conceiving difficult/impossible . Only a doctor will be able to find out.

See other people. Get married before having a child. Because believe me, conceiving the child is the EASY part, even if you are not pg yet. Raising a child, supporting a child is even harder, much harder. Took me five years to have a kid. Worth it all... but they need a mature stable home. Enjoy your youth and pre kid days, because after that, life takes a new direction. And you can never go back.

Daarling,
Yes there are tests. His fertility can also be tested. Back in the old days we just used basil body temperature to predict ovulation. That system is pretty reliable.
Bottom line, it's been a year, you should both go see a doctor. you are already doing everything you know how to do.

Take up healthy eating, look into diets that help fertility eg zinc for men. Do things that help you relax and stay stress free and try to spend loving quality time with your partner, maybe take a mini break? you never no it may happen and if it doesnt then dont stress, make an appointment with the doctor and they will take it from there!

In the United States, our pharmacies and grocery stores sell a product that looks like a pregnancy test, but it checks for ovulation. The stores here sell this product next to the pregnancy tests.
One brand of ovulation test that seems to be available in your country is named Clearblue. You can purchase it online, or go to a store and see if the item is available for purchase.
