After a nightmare I wet the bed with my boyfriend in it!

OK, this is pretty embarassing.

In bed with the boyfriend last night, fast asleep. I have a weird dream that involves me taking a pregnancy test. Next thing I know, I wake up, and it's all wet... Yeah, turned out that dream was a little more real than I'd thought.

So after I freak out out a little, I wake the boyfriend up, and he was great about it. Didn't freak out like I thought he would - gave me a hug, told me not to worry about it, flipped the mattress over and was generally a champ.

Only now I'm a bit paranoid. I feel like a child, and I'm worried my lad will think of me that way as well. The sensible part of me tells me that he won't, but how can I stop feeling like such an infant?

I'm 18, 18 year olds don't wet the bed!

Cheers for all the answers guys. I was just a little bit shaken up about it, but I feel better after some reassurance. I doubt it'll happen again, I'm pretty sure it was a case of the brain and the bladder getting mixed up. Regardless, I think I'll be drinking a little less water before bed now... Heh.

lexilou agony auntMy mum wet the bed til she was 19 and had many accidents when she first married my dad iner 20's, he was great about it.

I wet until I was 12 and had one or two accidents when I was first married to my first hubbie.

My son was 11 when he stopped wetting and had an accident last month (14). My 3 and half year old shows no sign of night dryness so I fear we have another bed wetter on our hands (it is hereditary). My daughter was dry day and night at 20 months, she's the odd one out in our family!!

So dont worry about it, its only down to the fact it was somewhere other than your bed and you were a little nervous. I am pleased he was ok about it and hopefully it wont happen again, but if it does he will still be okay with it. Good luck and stop worrying. x

LazyGuy agony auntWell, things happen. If you are living with someone else then you are going to have to deal with things that you rather keep private.

One common thing is farting during sex. Or burping when kissing. It happens. Hopefully you two can laugh it off, and go on. It is just being human. I once sneezed in a girls hair, still burns my cheeks.

Of course you feel embarresed but at least your boyfriend seems to just accept that shit happens and didn't make anything out of it.

But if it continues to happen you might want to talk to a doctor, women can develop countless issues with their bladder.

Dreams after all can work in reverse. Did you piss because you dreamed about it or did you dream about it because you wet yourself?

Your bf didt what any normal loving man would do. Be SURE that he'd never think negatively of you for that. At least I won't if I were in his shoes.

Dreams are all brain impulses. One of the impulses slipped from your brain to your bladder. As long as it doesn't normally happen then it is fine. Consider yourself very lucky to have such an incredible boyfriend and laugh about what happened. Hope that helped!

rcn agony auntYou had a dream that induced a response. It's perfectly okay. I think sometimes our brains get confused. Taking deams and acting them out as if they were reality. It's normal.
