Hey there...
Don't worry about acne so much.
If anything your doctor has given you doesn't work then you are just going to have to wait until it goes away....which in time it will.
I used to go the doctor for my acne and nothing worked; in the end I just had to ride it out....it goes away in time.
Sure I hated having acne, but it didn't stop me having a fun childhood, girlfriends, etc...so don't fret about it so much!
Some peoples' acne does cure up by using things like Freederm, Which Sticks or some other special soaps....for others it makes no difference.
Just remember to keep your face clean and moisturised, because if you dry out your face your body creates more sebum (the natural oil on your face and hair) which can make acne worse.
There are prescriptions like Accutane (Isotretinoin) that are only available from the doctor which usually clears up all acne after about 1 month.
It works by pushing all the acne under your skin agressively to the front so after about a month all your acne is gone. However, the after effects can be VERY NASTY and you have to have regular blood tests so it isn't prescribed easily. Maybe ask your doctor about it, but it is only prescribed in EXTREME circumstances.
So I would just say don't worry so much about acne! It's easy as a teenager to get stressed about it, but trust me, don't worry so much.
Good luck
P.S Chocolate has nothing to do with acne, so eat as much chocy as you want ;-)

Well sorry aphexinfinite but chocolate causing spots is alot of rubbish there is no link between eating chocolate and having spots.
If you wash your face with hand soap or often then you may be washing off the skins natural oils causing spots =] x

My boyfriend suffered the same problem till I came around =). I told him to wash his face with the bar soap Zest. He's had acne problems for years, and bad. I wish I could show u his before and after pics. They are unbelievable. His back was the worst, it looked like a huge birthmark. And zest cured this problem, he had given up because he wouldn't see results right away with other products, and became to lazy to keep up with a routine. But with zest he had nothing to lose, its not like he paid a fortune for it =). Also I've told many people about this and its worked for them as well.
Here are the instructions.
Get a clean bar soap of Zest the classic one. And make sure u are the only one using this bar soap and for ur acne only.
At night rinse the bar soap with warm water and wet ur face with warm water as well, put it all over ur problem areas and let it dry like a face mask. be aware of the tingling feeling. Once dried and hardened rinse off with a warm wet towel, then wet ur face with cold water to close ur pores.
Afterwards put lotion on ur problem areas cause dryness will occur. What its gunna do is that its gunna dry out ur skin, so u will need lots of lotion. It also gets rid of acne scars and dark spots. Do this everynight for a week, I promise great results that u won't give up on it. Besides its cheap and no need of prescription.
Well keep me posted if ur willing to try this.
