It is quite usual to have two periods in a month the first time you have sex. However in this case the best thing to do is, if you are worried go see your gp ( there really supportive). or if think you many be preganant then take the test.Hope all goes well x

I'm no expert, but that does seem short, do you tend to have regular cycles and is there any abnormal pain? I've tried to look on Web MD (http://www.webmd.com/) to see if there was anything but I didn't find much on the subject of short cycles. They said that cycles can be as short as 21 days. But yours was even less then that. It might not be a bad idea to schedule a check up with your doctor, at the very least you will have peace of mind.

Periods in your teens tend to be far more erratic than in your 20's and 30's. Emotional factors, radical exercise or change in diet and/or birth control pills and patches can affect periods. Unprotected sex can be a serious emotional challenge - especially if it was during your "fertile time". I would not worry at your age, but keep track on a calendar. If you stay very erratic, contraceptive pills can be used to regularize your periods.Fibroids can be a problem for some women in their late 30's and 40's, causing irregular bleeding, but this is not a problem for teenagers at all, and they go away after menopause anyway. Just relax and keep track. Good luck.

Menstruation is affected by all kinds of things, but it boils down to happening on a cycle. Why did you have two periods in one month? Perhaps the second cycle was just a lot shorter than the one before it, or you retained some of the lining of your uterus and finally shed it later in the month. Use contraception, though! At your age, you don't want to get pregnant or get STD's. Remember you can use the pill if you really don't like condoms, and take the morning after pill if you do have unprotected sex.
