A little piece of encouragement

Question - (3 February 2009) 24 Answers - (Newest, 6 February 2009)
A female Australia age 30-35, anonymous writes:

i just wanted to say a few words of encouragement to all of you who might be have a hard time with relationship and such.

first off all, the God who made you loves you and is watching you all the time.

God did not design your body's for sex, so if you are considering sex, maybe you should think again about what damage it might do to your body (especially if your are young) the pain it could cause you and your family both now and in the future and a long line of other things.

if your having a bad year remember that "joy comes in the morning"

i would like to quote a peace of one of my very favorite songs

"i don't know about tomorrow, i just live from day to day, i don't worry o'the future, for i know what Jesus said, and today I'll walk beside him for he knows what is ahead"

May God bless you all and may you know that he loves and cares for each one of you...

"for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that who so ever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life" john 3:16

please feel free to ask questions!

Also this so called 'god' if there really is one would have designed bodies for sex. If people didn't have sex and reproduce the human race would've died out along time ago

That's one thing I cant actually stand about some religious people, not meaning to offend anyone here but, when people boldly say that god it watching you, god exists, I hope you will find god, god loves you, you should love god, you're doomed and condemned to a life of sufference without beliefe in god, basically trying to force religion on people who don't believe for a reason, where's the consideration from these people that go around saying stuff like that to people who dont believe in god, blatantly disregarding what they feel, whats in their hearts and their heads about the matter, basically telling people that they are wrong for thinking different, for not being a sheep, its so utterly irritating and rediculous!

First of all, it is not easy to get through to people who don't believe in God. I'm a Christian and i understand perfectly what this author is trying to say. So maybe this person shouldnt post this entry here, whatever. But the truth of the matter is, God exist and His Words are true. I pray that all of you will someday find your path to God. God Bless.

dr.2.be agony auntAll I can say is good for you girl. Basically everyone disagrees with your post on this site ( including me ) but your not afraid to comment again and state your beliefs. It shows character right there. I bet its nice to have faith and feel like there is someone there for you when things go bad. Your gonna be okay. Here at Dear Cupid we just have different views on life and opinions on topics regarding sex and relationships that probably differ from people who are religious. Nothing wrong with that at all.

we all get things wrong and all make mistakes.

someone might sin by doing one thing and another by doing something else, but it's all sin.

and yes God watches you ALL the time!!!

he love you so much he can't take his eye off you!

Sorry again, please, i don't men to offend anyone

P.S. My parents are GREAT and I'm not 'religious', i simply believe ad LOVE God.

I am an Atheist but I would like to say Richard Dawkins book was irresponsible, if not cruel.

It's quite clear it's the most needy that use God as an emotional crutch, be it a grieving mother or someone dying of a painful disease.

Sometimes you have to use commn sense and keep it shut.

Hold on a bit wern't we all supposed to be from the same piece of mud.

So how did we evolve into millions of different animals, insects, reptiles etc?

So a ladybird is related to me?

Yeah right.

Use the grey matter God gave you please.

coucou206 agony auntSorry for an extra post, but the anonymous person who commented on Dawin.

Crocodiles aren't supposed to ride bikes - what sort of suggestion is that. Humans and other mammals of this sort (monkeys and the like) can ride bikes and do intricate activities because we have opposable thumbs.

Dawin didnt ignore the things he didnt understand - he just left them for later, better equiped scientists to work out.

coucou206 agony auntThat is not true.

Our bodies were designed for sex, not just sex, obviously, but it sure has some influence!

This is not your kind of website... I am not religious. At all, unless Atheism at my level counts. I, however, would not recommend that you read the God Delusion, because Richard Dawkins is so far up his own arse... well, he doesnt exactly shine on the booklist.

Try, just try, reading the bible cover to cover, and scribble down the bits you dont understand.

If you do this right you'll realise that infact you've just written the God Delusion yourself.

I have no sympathy for religion. It is just one mans way of making people around him feel better... dieing doesnt seem so bad if you get to float around on clouds with harps and wings, does it?

I do rant on, I know. But this was such a smarmy vomit-inducing pile of tosh, I felt I had to leave a comment.

Good Luck, may the beard in the sky be forever your comfort...

Coucou xxxx

If God is watching us all the time, dose he watch when we go to the toilet to pee or have a shit?

Dose God watch when we have sex, does that mean that God likes to watch pornography?

What makes humans different from animals is their control over basic instincts.

Mounting every male/female you are attracted to is animalistic behaviour guaranteed to cause damage to any poor soul that crosses your path.

A female reader, dr.2.be United States +, writes (3 February 2009):

dr.2.be agony auntNice article but im not that religious and our bodies ARE designed for sex. We have sexual organs, areas in the brain, specifically for sexual functioning, nerves in the lower lumbar area of the spine that control only our sexual organs. Almost every organ in our bodies have a known function. We wouldn't have them if we were not designed to do the things we do with them. Humans are very sexual beings, in fact we are the only mammals aside from monkeys and dolphins that have sex for pleasure and its due to out highly complex brain. ( something I learned in Neurobiology) Im sorry to say but we are not comprised ONLY of a soul. We have flesh, blood, feelings, organs and SEX DRIVES. If God didn't want us to have sex for pleasure, then why did he make our brain so damn complex??

By the way sex is a natural healthy thing to do and there is nothing wrong with it as long as you are responsible. I feel bad for people like you who have been brainwashed by overly religious parents who create blinders making it impossible to live life, engage in instinct behaviors and see things from a scientific perspective.

Its nice that you are trying to make people feel better but when religion comes into the picture, it can make people feel guilty, ashamed and angry. It doesnt work for some. This is a site where people come with problems with their sex life, relationships, pregnancy and such. Most people here prolly aren't die hard stick to the bible everything is a sin. I know you are trying to help but talking about God and how we shouldn't be having sex isn't the right approach. Your not going to change anyone's minds or stop people from having sex.

My guess is you're a very shelted teen. God has in fact designed us to procreate (make love/sex)...have you even read the book Song of Solomon in the bible? The newlyweds are making love and admiring each others bodies.

Do you mean sex before marriage?

I think it's time you had a talk with your mom or a woman you trust about sex. You might be 'called' to a life of celibacy as the Apostle Paul was.

Boy is this person going to have some problems later in life. Interestingly, most serial killers started out this way having overly religious parents or just getting it all plain wrong.

Think on this, if we were not supposed to have sex, why did (your) god make it so pleasurable?

Religion is a crock of s*** in all forms.

What does this bible passage have to do with sex and relationships?

"God did not design your body's for sex, so if you are considering sex, maybe you should think again about what damage it might do to your body" Ms Anonymous

If you think that sex is damaging to the body, why have you come on a relationship website like Dear Cupid, where the main issues we deal with is sexual fulfillment and sexual advice?

Wouldn't you be better to join a Christian website?

PS: Well said Emily, well said, you took the words right out of my mouth.

Shouldn't this posting be in the Articles Column??? I am a believer in God, however as another poster said, this isn't a site for preaching. Our bodies were made perfectly for sex! You may have been directing this solely to your teenage peers, but When you post here it reaches a huge age range.

Next time you feel the need to "preach" maybe you should consider the Articles!

What a informed post.

Sex is the biggest problem.

If people built a relationship first instead of stampeading towards sex things may just work out.

It's a bit like buiding your house upside down.

To believe a Man would write a book and become rich with a book on something he believed didn't exist. Richard Dawkins it's laughable anyone would buy it. Think I might write one on pink eleephants.

Darwin?

Yeah lets just skip over the bit's that don't fit in.

Crocodiles around before dinosaurs, yet they haven't even learned to ride a bike?

Do your own instead of believing everything you are fed.

Hang on I've just actually read this piece of drivel...

"God did not design your body's for sex"

Firstly, there are so many things wrong with this sentence I can't even begin to start. If you are going to copy some crappy lie out of your pamphlet on "How not to go to Hell." then at least use decent grammar.

You are a teenager and I doubt you have had sex, or even a real boyfriend so who do you think you are to come here and lecture ME a 25 yearold married woman on sex and relationships???

If you want some answers then please go and read "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, or "The Theory of Evolution" by Dawin.

Don't come and try and give advice to vulnerable people you know NOTHING about, who come here with REAL problems. You don't know anything about the world and I suggest you go back to your little church and ask them to justify the little worm who is currently burrowing through the eyeball of a third world child and causing blindness.

Good Luck!! xx

ArmyMedic agony auntThe human body is designed for sex! that's what sex organs are there for, and we would not be able to produce any more of Gods flock with out having sex! I agree that under age sex is dangerous and that not using a condom can cause all kinds of problems. As Emily says this isn't a question it's a religious preaching.

Thanks for the support though.

God Bless
