How likely is it that a committed relationship will start if within 1-2 months it hasnt happened?

Unfortunately there are no rules, you just have to chill out and take it as it comes.
If you want commitment offer her a ring - anything before that is just a verbal agreement.
I've been seeing guys for months and never been serious with them. I met my husband and knew within a couple of weeks he was the one for me. Everyone and every relationship is different.
Good Luck!! xx

I dont think there is a time limit of when a committed relationship can begin, it of course depends on the people you are talking about!
You can be in a committed relationship from Day 1 or you can date a while, a few months or whatever then decide to be in a committed relationship. I think that if it hasnt happened in 1 or 2 months and that is what the person wants then he/she needs to tell the person that they want a committed relationship or at least an exclusive relationship (no dating anyone else).

well it depends on the person really and how comfortable they feel in the relationship my boyfriend and i dated for 4 months before he said he was committed to me completely(as in he wanted to be with me for a long time) he said he was committed to me from the very start of our relationship(as in not seeing anyone else besides me) and then it took another 8 months for us to make the decision to move in together
like i said it all depends on the situation and the comfort in the relationship and it depends on the person!
