A female South Africa age 36-40, anonymous writes:

i've been trying to leave nothing works what should i do.i have been in a relationship for ten years been married for five.after 2 years in my relationship i told my husband that i would like to leave because i'm not happy;he is a scorpio by the way.anyway i told him why i was not happy; and he told me how much he loves me.he practically convinced me not to leave but he could not change what i feel,8 months after that i cheated on him he found out;i told him to let me go otherwise i would not stop. So basically over the year i've been cheating and now i'm exhausted because he knows the truth but he wont leave.he told no matter what i do he won't leave me. I tried everything now i think i should just dissapear because i hate who i have become.what should i do?

Honeypie agony auntI can't see why you need your husband's permission to walk away or why it's your husband's fault that you cheat.

FILE for divorce, move out and take care of yourself.

Seems pretty simple.

RevMick agony auntHi,

Cheating just to hurt someone enough that they let you leave, is not a nice thing to do. It doesn't make you a bad person, just callous.

I would urge against disappearing, you may need to find a mediator who can come to some arrangements. If you really wanted to leave, nothing is stopping you. Except you.
