A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So this girl and i dated and i thought it was a good relationship. I really put everything i had in there i would be open and honest with her. I told her everything and i treated her the best i have ever treated a girl. We broke up and i went no contact for a couple days. I didn't know what to do. She kept contacting me and then i decided to answer. We were taking it slow but there was this guy in her life that she said was "just a friend, and he was just using him to buy her drinks for her party." So i thought nothing of it and just went along. We then got in a fight and told me she liked me alot and that it was hard for her to express her feelings. Well i through out the all or nothing card and she said only friends so i said "im done goodbye" Hung up. She called like 30 time and the last message she left she told me that she needed me. She then slowly lost contact with me. Like a week later I spent an entire night writting her a letter about how much i liked her and how we had a great relationship and how we should try it again. She told me she was lucky to have someone who cares and likes her but she moved on. She started dating this guy who is like the opposite of me. So i was p.o'd about it and yelled told me she didn't want to talk to me. Well school started back up and i acted happy and just was me the class clown. She texted me like 2 weeks later saying that she hoped i was doing well and hoped i knew she didn't have a problem with me. I didn't text back and she came to school dressed nice which she never did when we dated. Which i still ignored cuz it seemed like she wanted attention. Then i guess she ran into my friend and she asked him how he was doing he asked how she was doing then she asked him if he still lifted with me and how i was doing. So do u think she is trying to get back in my life? So u think she will come back? What do i do? It has been like almost three months that i haven't talked to her and month and a half since the text.

mollusc agony auntMaybe she just wants to be friends but doesn't know how to say that without hurting you? If she's gonna mess you around like that then she's not worth it! Let her do the running. Wait for her to show she wants you. If she shows that she doesn and then you make a move and she gets all 'oh i just want to be friends'with you again, just tell her where she can stick her 'friendship.'

all guys deal with this same situation. im in it now. ur best option is just to continue cutting contact from her.u had it righ from the beginning.. sooner or later u think about her less and less and then the GOOD part happens.. if she fights her way back into ur life, then no contact worked..but like most guys figure out..after a few months of not thinking about her, u start to question if u even want her in ur life anymore (sounds crazy right now i know). as for her asking about u..women are egoistical.. if ur friend told her that u were miserable withouth her she would have been perfectly fine. she doesnt want to think that u may not like her anymore (my ex TOLD me when i cut contact that she was gonna hate that dont have a thing for her anymore and she has a bf!). soooo runnnnnnnn
