A male reader, anonymous, writes (3 May 2010):

Man, don't worry about it. I felt the same way you did and was 20 before I lost my virginity. Hell, after a rather torrid year and a half with a few women the well ran completely dry, so-to-speak. For like 4 years. I didn't even get to spot where I was dating regularly or even getting laid semi-regularly till I was 28.

Point is don't give up hope. We all feel lonely and hopeless from time to time. But sooner or later you'll hit your stride. I'm not saying that you're not going to run into alot of horrible, mind boggeling crap along the way, either. But eventually, everything think will even out and you'll be just fine. And no, there is nothing wrong with you.

Oh, and if this about keeping up with what your friends are telling you or the crap you see in movies? Well one of the greatest secrets of mankind is contrary to everything we want to belelieve. Sex is actually pretty over rater. Fun, love it, good at it, but over rated.

Being a virgin doesn't mean anything, people who think otherwise are generally misguided by their peers.

My boyfriend was 29 when I met him and a virgin! I didn't think any less of him, instead I totally respected him as it's rare. But it's not a bad thing! Take it from me, a woman, that when u meet that special person she WILL respect you more and who knows she may be a virgin to so you cab share the wonderful 1st time experience together!

EDLion agony auntGee.......... Come on dude, cheer up man, i'm 17, and i'm still a virgin.......... Anyways, why? Ask yourself, why? Does losing virginity matters a lot to you? Does losing virginity gains your confidence or something? I'm popular 'round girls, they loved me, but, i'm still saving 'it' for my real special someone: my wife. It's something i can still cherish, something to be proud of.
