hello,

i'm 14 and i'm having some body issues. The other night when i was getting in the shower, i realized one breast is bigger than the other. Is that normal for teenagers or should i go to a doc about it?

Yep, this is totally normal. Don't worry, I've been through the same thing at your age! Most women have one breast larger than the other, so don't worry yourself.

Join the club, sister. My right breast is larger than my left. My boyfriend didn't even notice it until I asked him if he minded. He was like...'What?' and laughed a little. I pulled up my shirt to show him and he was like, 'Wow...I never noticed that before. Cool.'

Now he just kind of favors my right boob. :D Typical man. Don't worry. It's possible you will even out, but I never did. It's not noticable, really, even though the difference seems pretty huge to me. If you're uncomfortable, use the pad inserts from a bikini in your bra on the side that's lacking to even them out.

Your body doesn't just grow univerally.

Parts will get bigger little by little.

So one breast grows and the other will follow sooner or later.

It is perfectly normal, and not just during the teen years. I am 28 and one is still a cup larger than the other. I think guys kind of like having variety.

Everyones body is a little different from one side to the other. One foot is a little bigger, one ear, etc... I had a doctor tell me this. It's the way we develop in the womb. Most people just never realize it because it is so slight. Also, your not done growing! We are usually very critical of our own bodies and notice things noone else ever would. If it affects the way your bras fit you can buy inserts to even things up. If its just slight, forget about it and no matter what LOVE YOUR BODY!!!!

I think i am right in saying we all have one side bigger than the other,( i know i do and i am in my 40~s) as you are still growing this may just sort its self out. wait for a bit and if it is still causing you concerns go 2 your doctor. If you are pain free, no lumps,no redness or swelling i think you will be just fine. We also tend to have one foot slightly bigger than the other lol.
