writes:I got a question. I don't usually compare myself to others at all but, all around me I see guys my age with girlfriends. They have girlfriends and had. While I haven't even had one yet. I don't look bad and I've got a pretty good personality. But I haven't had a girlfriend yet and I'm 14. Is that normal? And any suggestions on things I could do?

 Hey. Well i am a 14 year old girl and ive never had a boyfriend, so i would say that you are pretty normal. Most people think im okay looking and i have been told by alot of people that i have an amazing personality, but i think differently but any how it really has nothing to do with looks so don't worry.
I do get sad sometimes because like you all i seem to see is people who are going out and alot more expeirenced than me and theres me on my own, and it can get you really down and make you feel like no one wants you.
The only reason i havent found anyone yet is ive never meet someone who ive connected with or have simarlar views as me. As i am quite different and mature for my age. So please don't worry as your time will come when you find a girl who you really connect with don't rush it as you never know who might walk into your life x

 It's normal. Don't worry. It's got nothing to do with looks or you not being nice or anything. It's just hard to find someone at that age that are genuine about you, many young teenagers aren't looking for relationships either, or have no idea how to communicate that they like someone. Could be girls like you, but have no idea how to show you, or if you like them back etc. Just give it time. Try to ask a girl out if you want to get things moving, you only learn through experience.

There's no need to rush into anything. Just enjoy your life, and in time you'll develop relationships :)

Yes it's normal! Don't worry about it. I didn't get interested in that until I was 17 and even then it took me a while to get one and I'm not ugly. You're just starting out, don't worry about following the herd. Don't go looking for a girlfriend to fit in because it won't work. Instead, get a girlfriend when you feel like you've met a person who deserves that title.
