I agree with Irish. You don't want to establish a "player" reputation for yourself. Wait it out for a few days, even a few weeks, then have a talk with her and see how she feels.

reader, anonymous, writes (1 February 2009): Ahh...the angst and fickleness of teen romance! lol No healing or recovery time required...just move on quickly and date the next one in line. :) I mean that nicely because you know what...that's okay as dating at your age should be something you get over fast and move on. How else do you learn about relationships, which is preparing you for adulthood and that one relationship, which will 'blow your socks off'. Just as a precaution though, I would suggest you wait a few days to find out how this other break-up affected this female you have a crush on.. I would hazard to guess if she broke off with him...it could've be something she was thinking of doing for awhile now, but you can't be sure. Talk to her friends and find out what her mood is and what happened, if you can. If she's over it, then definitely...ask her out! But if she was hurt by him, and felt compelled to drop him....she may still care, so it might be best to wait this out until she's over the worst of it.
