You have to use them exactly as directed for them to work and use them for as long as they recommend even if you don't feel the symptoms anymore. It'll take like two days to start feeling relief. Go to Walgreens and buy the cheap one. It'll work just fine. And no appointments, visits to doctors, embarrasing check ups and/or laboratory analysis to do. The yogurt and candies advice it's true.

I agree, in the US, it is over the counter. There are several brands. I prefer monostat 3. The one day remedy doesn't seem to work as well. Also, if you are suseptible to these type of infections eat yogurt daily and avoid eating too many sweets. If you get them all the time, then go see your DR. And pgissyd is right, they've seen it all.

yes, pop to the phamacy and explain the situation, you can buy it over the counter. though I highly reccomend you see yor doctor as yeast infections can be just a symptom to a bigger problem, and if its thrush you may need antibiotics too.
there is nothing to be embarrased about seeing the doctor, they see and hear it all the time from all ages and genders. a lot of yeast infections arnt even sexually related, but as I say, it could be a symptom to something more serious.
good luck hun xxx
