 If you want to try then go and get checked out for fertility. Also i have noticed that if you think you really want a baby while having unprotected sex you dont get pregnant, then you stop 'trying' but still having unprotected sex and fall pregnant.

He probably gave you chlymidia and that can make you infetile.
If you both are in a committed relationship (why aren't you married if you are taking on a joint 20 year commitment?) and are trying for a baby and have been tested for STIs then you might want to see someone about it.

 Of course fertility, of one or the other, could be the issue. In America, the testing for such in a man is not too expensive, but female fertility tests may be different.
