Hi,
what does he like? Is he a sporty lad? If so find out what football team he supports. You can buy any number of stuff from the shops. Scarfs/shirts,hats,key rings.. anything and for any price a couple of quid to a coupld of hundred. And we boys love our football teams and never tire of a new toy to play with - especially if its got our team's colours on it.
If he isnt into sport but is an arty type, find out his favourite author and buy him a book. Or if he likes movies buy a couple of ticket vouchers to the local cinema and maybe he will take you with him ( if thats what you want! )
Just remember the old adage "boys love toys" it doesnt matter how old we are we never grow up when it comes to stuff we like. So just go for it!
