Would this be an OK gift for his mother?

A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 8 mos and we moved in together in about 2 mos ago. I have met his family and they seem to like me very much. We get together with them about once a week, and his mother just bought us tickets to go to europe in september. Well we just attended a wedding this past weekend and got some really great pictures of us. We are going to dinner tonight at his parents house and I was thinking it would be nice to get a frame for one of the pictures and give it to his mother. Is this too forward of me? She likes to get me little gifts all the time so I thought it would be nice to repay the gestures. Is that rude?
