writes:i have known my turkish bf 3yrs, been with him 1yr and see him 5 times a year even at the end of the season, i am 20yrs older he knows ive no money. i rent my home i asked him to visit me in the uk but he says no. now last nite he said he would apply for a visa. do you think my age would stop his visa? as we have talked of marriage for next year. i need advice please

I do not think that your age will count against him, but the fact that he has refused to visit you, will.
The way he has acted so far does not show to me (I'm guessing not to the authorities either) that he is too serious about the relationship. He has never been to visit, he just seems to be coming here to the first time to live here and marrying you to be able to do so.
What you may have could be true love, I don't know, but we just see a worryingly large number of questions about Turkish men and British women and visas getting refused. The authorities probably do too so they are going to be cynical.
Turkey is not in the EU and therefore it will be hard for him to get a passport with out savings, skills and lots of other things.
Do some research about what professions we need here and what helps visa applications.
