I think it's a great idea! it's different which almost any girl will love rather than the usual dinner, drinks etc. Also no matter how much you like someone, nerves can take over on a first date and this way you have a chance to chat and get to know each other better but there are other distractions so that you don't need to find something to say for the entire date. Good choice!

An amusement park is better the second date, it's the kinda date to make you feel like kids again. The first date is about getting to know the person so you need more of a quiet, calm setting of where you have time to talk. An amusement park there's not much talking except when you're walking to rides or screaming hanging upside down. Instead, I suggest having a picnic near a lake, in a park..you can pack, wine, fruit, cheese, crackers, and some cute sandwiches. Then after lunch maybe a nice little boat ride...or if you got those paddle boats.

I think an amusement park is a great place for a date, generally speaking. As for a first date, I would have two questions: 1) Do you already know each other fairly well? At an amusement park, you're probably going to be together for a long time. Sometimes first dates are best kept fairly short. The exception would be if you are already fairly comfortable with each other. 2) Is it an expensive place, and are you paying for the whole thing? I shy away from spending a lot of money on a first date. You don't want to come off as trying very hard to impress her.
