Since we started having sex, we don't see each other often- we live in two different continents. The problem is that recently, any time we have sex, I always come out with one issue or the other.Five months ago it was persistent candidiasis that wouldn't go- and I'm about completing my six- month oral fluconazole treatment. I saw him again four days ago and we had sex and we did everything- but the issue now is the oral I performed on him has me down. He ejaculated in my mouth and I swallowed. There was no deep throating, though. But I've developed the worst sore throat of my life, and my glands were swollen within three hours of developing the sore throat (so big you can actually see them if you looked at my neck!). I can't swallow anything at all (not even water) without tears coming to my eyes and there's no fever, nor nasal dripping, nor any other sign of the usual strep throat, but I'm so tired and unbelievably fatigued! The gonorrhoea test came back negative but it just started today so I dunno if it's too early to tell.HELP!

I've never had unprotected sex before, even when giving blowjobs- this was my first time. so I don't really know much about the whole semen allergy thing. I'll check with my doctor. I'm ok now, not much pain although the glands are still swollen.
Thanks a lot dear :-)

I just remembering reading awhile back on a website where a man and womans life were suffering sexually together cause she was allergic to semen and so they had to undergo massive psychotherapy to deal with it since they were so much in love. I think they made things work but I remember her saying she was always swollen and in pain and she didnt know what was going on til she saw the doc. I think her inflammation was more outer than inner...like her hands got big and face and it was kinda weird. Hope u r okay :)

I even convinced my partner to accompany me and run some tests. Thank goodness he was so understanding, and everything came out negative.
@ trancedrhythmear: Maybe I am allergic to semen... does this mean I can't get pregnant? At least without some horrifying reaction? A little extra explanation would be a great help. Thanks!

I hope you feel better. You could be allergic to semen. Has that been ruled out as a possibility?
