writes:Hi need your advice.I have not been talking with my long distance boyfriend now just kind of angry and dissapointed with him cos he's been sick lately and has not been trying to see a doctor. He works his own business and always monitoring his computer. Sometimes neglecting his meals and not eating enough, so each time we chatted it breaks my heart to see him looking tired and weak. I live in Asia and he is in US I wish I am there to take care of him. His stubborness of not seeing a doctor makes me really angry so I kept bugging him to go for a check up... and yes he went the next day. But to my surprise I find out from him that the doctor only took a blood test and had to wait 3 to 4 days til the results comes then he will be given medicine. I'm asking why is it so? My boyfriend is feeling weak and coughing due to cold weather and I guess he need some energy boost cos he looks pale and is losing weight. He doesnt seems to care and would rather wait till the doctor calls back for the result. After 3 days of waiting I asked him if the doctor ever called he said No... and he's not sure when... or maybe it will take another week. I was really mad cos why such a slow system like that. And everytime we talk on phone or chatted via webcam he is looking like he is going to collapse at anytime. He is really so stubborn he keeps saying he is fine and he is resting, but I don't get to see any improvements. I flare up and told him if it keeps going on like that I don't think I will enjoy talking and seeing him in that kind of condition. I don't understand at all why he seems not doing anything, if the doctor hasn't called yet then he should call and check it himself or get to consult another doctor why wait for so long? Was he trying to test me or was he enjoying seeing me worrying? Was he just acting, lazy or just not bothered at all. His reason is he can't afford to be away from his computer cos business partners will call a meeting online at anytime, he works so hard to think for our future. I'm worried about my boyfriend and I care a lot about him. What shall I do?Thanks for reading and greatly appreciated.

 Maybe, he liked you to fussed over him...
He is so far away and you cannot physically be with him.
He is not a small boy and he should know how to take care of himself.
Worrying won't help you much and will only give you ulcers in the stomach.

If your b/f has a bad flu or chest infection this will make him ill if not rested and the doctor should have given antibiotics for the cough as he can check the chest for infection and hear it before the blood test comes back so a short dose of antibiotics would have helped, Did your b/f ask what the blood test was for? As he should have its always wise to find out what they are checking you for... If he is ill and is not taking it seriously and worrying you then this is not good as you are so far away..Talk with him again and try and find out what the doctor said, If he is still acting this way tell him you are very worried and when he has been to get some advise on his health to get intouch with you as you canot help anymore from were you are, Im not sure about how long it takes for a blood test to come back in america
