Question - (16 May 2012) 1 Answers - (Newest, 16 May 2012)
A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I feel like me and my best friend is falling apart and slowly drifting away. I'm a guy and my bestfriend is a girl. It's really hard talking with her as a bestfriend especially when I have no experience of talking to a girl from a bestfriend point of view. We use to talk a lot and so much about all the things we liked and stuff. I think I've become bored and annoying to her because we always talk about the same thing over and over again. I ask her how she feels and she said blank becausewe always talk about the same thing over and over again and now it's getting boring. I'm really scare to lose her, I can't really think of what to talk about. All we talk about is how was your day, what you're doing at the moment, and all that stuff.

Is there a way I can talk to her more about different things and make the conversation more interesting? I need help on what we can do so that we can change and become closer again like we use to be. Help me out please.

A reader, anonymous, writes (16 May 2012):

Could you organise a trip somewhere with her? Like if you share a favourite band go to a gig together? Or see a comedian you both like? Anything that gets you out of he day to day routine and gives you something to look forward to and something different to talk about. If money is tight you could even visit somewhere new just to get out of the same place by bus or train.

I know it's sad it think about a friendship ending but sometimes a relationship just runs its course and particularly at your age people change and sometimes two people who were similar and got along great just drift apart. I hope this doesn't happen to you but by making a little extra effort to do something out of the ordinary every now again could make things better.

Good luck
