I am 16, I was wondering if guys expect you to have no pubic hair??

If they do what are good ways to do this? I have tried to shave but my hair is too thick and it does not work. I do not want to go to a salon or wax it myself? any other options.

I am really scared of what guys will think of me down there!! Thats why I havnt been far.

My pubic hair is a mess it worries me everyday all day!!! Help me Please!!

Thanx

You don't realise just how many men love women who are hairy, so stop worrying, as you are actually more desirable to many men.

Hello,

I am also 16, and was having the same problem as you - what is it supposed to look like down there?

Personally I shave, its itchy the first few times, but after that, its fine, comfortable and neat.

I'm a guy who prefers a more natural looking bush. Shaved girls sometimes make me think of plucked chickens, or somebody who is too young for sex.

I am 17 and haven't been with my current boyfriend for long. Worried about the same thing myself, i shaved completely, then i felt really silly about it because i'm sure he would have expected me to be hairy and i thoroughly dislike the feeling of being completely hairless.. so now i'm refusing to go any further with him until it grows back and i'm far too embarrassed to tell him what i did. lol. The likelihood is that he'd probably prefer it if i'd shaved it all off. Never the less, talking and being open with your partner is always good. And doesn't put you through the idiocy that I am still going through.

Guys have pubic hair too remember, and i don't see many of them shaving it all off or having it waxed.

Keeping it trimmed and 'under control' seems to be the best advice. Make sure it's clean of course and never do anything to yourself that makes you feel anything less than completely comfortable, regardless of what you think guys want.

i often trim mine because i have the same problems you're talking about. and i find the idea of waxing WAY too painful. so go with a nice neat trim, and it'll make you feel better which i think is more important than the guy anyway! ;-)

XxPrincessxLxX agony aunthey sweetie,

well first of all it doesnt matter about what the boys think. its all about how you feel. what would make you feel better about your "lady area" i personally use hair removal cream( be very careful if you are going to use it and don't go inside your lips) if not why don't you try just trimming it with a pair of scissors. some boys like it all off but some love a brazillian (a strip) or all of it. dont be ashamed or scared of yourself because you should feel comfortable in yourself

xx

I would suggest triming, however Veet works well and when it grows back it is not as coarse. If and when you feel up to it the Brazilian wax is wonderful. I have alot of men friends I talk to about stuff and they all love it. Never met a man who liked hair. It hurts a little at first, but the results are fan-freaking-tastic. However, don't try it at home the first time!

I've had two boyfriends and one of them told me he liked hairy women and the other one told me he liked it shaved. It varies. But I've spoken to some girlfriends and (virgins or not) the general procedure nowadays is to trim it at least once a week. The forest thing is totally out.

Variety agony auntIf I were you I would trim it so the hair is not so long and unruly. Also you could use a cream such as nair sensitive hair removal to remove some hair (for example if it sticks out from your underwear). I think a little hair is a good thing (otherwise I feel like a little girl...and I don't think anyone wants to open up that type of fantasy with their boyfriend lol). Only problem with nair is you have to do it regularly but this is a good thing if you decide you don't like it because it will grow back quick. xxx

frizzylizzy agony auntHey there, I had a similiar problem with my boyfriend when I started seeing him. I was like a forest down there. He mentioned it one night and I got really embarassed so I went and got a brazilian done. I have to say I totally swear by it, now don't get me wrong it hurt at the time but it is so clean and very hygenic.. Also my boyfriend loves it!!!! I totally recommend it

At 16, I wouldn't expect anything, let alone seeing a girl naked and willing. Then again, I don't think high school back in the day can quite compare to high school nowadays. [ponders thoughtfully]

Seriously though, I wouldn't suggest you shave, but if you must, trim it a bit. Just a bit. Hmmm, reminds me of past girlfriend who had a really thick forest. I could have sworn I heard monkeys eeping when I went down on her. ^_^

It would be more of a surprise to find a hairless one than a hirsute one!

Try a pair of scissors, if you must, and give it a trim, perhaps even a little topiary, but clear away any loose trimmings. There's nothing worse than getting a few of them stuck in your teeth or finding them at the back of your throat.

hi when i was your age i like you had endless questions, but as i wasnt sure how i was 'supposed' to look, i shaved it all off.. and my man loves it plus i find it more hygeinic! But everybody has different preference and there is no right and wrong way to look, it just depends what you feel comfortable with.
