A male South Africa age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I'm a 24yr old male, and under alot of stress with work.

I've always had lots of hair and strong, and clear skin and as of last year i've noticed my hair taking strain and when i wash my hair i have some hair that stays on the comb, and occasional breakouts on my neck.

if hair loss is a result of stress, will reducing stress levels make my hair healthy again? Or does shampoo or vitamins help?

thank you

Thanks Kenny,

You reckon that stress relief and relaxation would help curb what my hair is going through currently. My dad has a full head of hair, as did my grandad on my fathers side, and my moms dad started going bald only when he was much older.

kenny agony auntIt could be the stresses of work that are making your hair thinner, or it could just be that you maybe going thin on top early as some people do. You could maybe try some relaxation techniques whenever you aquire a spare half hour on your own. Just lay back, maybe light an insense stick and concentrate on your breathing while letting your hole body relax. Put your mind somewhere else, maybe your favourite place, or an imaginary place, and surround yourself with calmness and inner peace. You could alsotry some Paul Mckenna hypnosis CDS for relaxation too. For your hair you could try Loreal Elvive Body Building Thickening smampoo for men, containing Regenium-xy. It strenthens and thickens hair for better scalp coverage. Nearly all supermarkets do this product, or you could look for it online.

Good luck

polarkite agony auntStressed Guy,

You need to loosen up. Do a risk/reward analysis of quitting your job and taking a break, or at least taking a long vacation. Maybe you need to go to the gym and work out.

Also, have lots of sex! Okay, I'm not sure if that last bit of advice was accurate, but this is a relationships forum, so I had to tie your question in to relationship, dating, love or sex.

Thanks!
