I have two young children and wanted to find other moms to meet up with for play dates, etc. One of the moms met up with me 3 times for play dates and she kept saying she wanted to get together and go out with our husbands. So i set up a babysitter and then she never went through with our plans even though it was her idea, I never heard from her again after numerous emails trying to set something up..The other two moms I met were really nice in the emails and on the phone but when we actally met I got the impression that they were disappointed instantly. They never ended up emailing me back after our initial meeting when I contacted them to see if they would want to get together again. I hate to say this, but I am afraid that they may be intimidated by me physically. I am really nice so I don't see why they wouldn't like me. I am really tall and have really long hair and big blue eyes, plump lips, I have large breasts (natural) and am a healthy weight. The other 2 moms I met were short and hefty. I hate to be judged on my appearance but it happens with women everywhere. I don't know what to do. I don't dress inappropriately and I don't even wear makeup. Women at work will completely ignore me, even if I say hello to them they won't even look at me. My neighbor is the same way, she's a pretty large woman and I see her being friendly with other people in the neighborhood but with me she just turns her back toward me. What can I do? I don't want to gain 50 pounds and cut all my hair off just so woman treat me like a person.

Seriously, don't worry about it. They don't want to be close to you because it makes them look worse...
Nothing makes a woman feel less attractive then standing next to a gorgeous woman.
Solution:
Find some attractive moms to hang out with. Have you ever noticed that beautiful people tend to have good looking friends? Why? Because they don't feel threatened by other good looking people.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 July 2010): the honest truth is that people are too judging these days, dont make yourself dress down or feel bad about of yourself because these woman are too sad to oversee looks, but dont worry there will be some mom who would love to have playdates with your children.
Just think of the way you act around people.
