As they say on the box and with birth control pills, nothing is 100% effective. If you are really worried you can always get Plan B, also known as the morning after pill. Two pills which you take up to 72 hours after having sex, they are now available without a prescription at your local pharmacy to all women 17 years and older. I should be fine with a condom, but more protection is never a bad thing. :-)~Des

Well, like everything, condoms arent 100% reliable, so the pill or some sort of contraception is a good move.

Yes, but a second birth control is a good back up, like spermacidal jelly or the pill.

You could add a condom-safe spermicidal jelly or cream for extra protection. Make sure he withdraws after ejaculation while holding the condom in place at the base.

The condom is 99% effective if you use it properly.
Being on the pill is just like having a safety net beneath your safety net.
Good Luck!! xx
